Fan Contest

Picard Maneuver is now in it’s fifth year. During that time our act has continued to evolve; new songs, videos, and blogs. Today we are announcing the next step.

It has come to our attention that our group name “Picard Maneuver” might be to genre specific and is limiting us to a wider audience, mass appeal. This is apparent in low Youtube view counts and not being recognized on the street.
In order to gain fame and a Comedy Central special, we are changing our name. Still sticking with our geek roots that made us a somewhat success, we want a name that will transcend generations, social classes, and IQ levels.

Since our fate every night is dependent on you, we want you to decided. Vote for our comedy future, below are the top three group names we’ve narrowed down:

The Adama Maneuver

Ackbar’s Surprise

The Who

Vote Now & Vote Often. Our new name will be decided tomorrow as that is when we need to put in the order for new business cards and decals.

Back to Vegas! 2012 Star Trek Convention

We’re getting ready to return to Las Vegas this Summer to polish our combadges at the Star Trek Convention (http://www.creationent.com/cal/st_lasvegas.html) and play some shows (TBA). We thought you might like to see our show we shot in Las Vegas back in late 1979:

And while we’re back in Vegas, we’ll be checking out some of our other favorite nerdy haunts:

Insert Coins: Insert coins is a bar that has hundreds of old school video games you can play while your drunk! Time to finally see if our deadbeat dad is really stuck in that stupid TRON Machine. End of line. http://www.insertcoinslv.com/

The Pinball Museum: Unlike the Louvre, you can play with the display items here… However, like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, you are going to get several Tilt Warnings. http://www.pinballmuseum.org/

ZCastle: Sick of wielding your Wii controller, fighting to save Zelda in your pajamas? Then ZCastle is the year round stop to meet all of your day to day medieval needs! Purchase armor, swords, axes, shields, daggers, fairy costumes and more. Now you can be prepared when the dealers at Excalibur attack, or just for just a normal Tuesday night on Balzar Ave and Martin Luther King Blvd. http://www.thinklocal.com/ZCastle-19473.html

Dead Poet Books: One of the biggest independent books stores around. We’ll be searching for the Necronomicon… We’ve got a bone to pick with Ash. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dead-Poet-Books/175381345807413

Want more info? Want to meet Picard Maneuver in Las Veags? See a show? Place a “Kick Me” sign on their back? Join us at www.PicardManeuver.com or e-mail us at PicardManeuver@gmail.com

Spread the Nerd: Picard Maneuver in Vegas

Hey fan squadron! We are days away from Picard Maneuver's debut in Las Vegas and we're really excited to nerd it up in sin city. And...we need your help.

No Mike is not already in debt with a casino and Adam isn't in jail for stocking Wayne Newton... not yet anyway.

If you have friends, relatives, bookies, reporters, or know anyone in the greater Las Vegas area, meaning Nevada, let them know about the show. We would be indebted to you. Let us know if you're coming too, we'll give you a Picard Maneuver Fun Buck for gas. If you can't make it, that's okay, we'll give you a fun buck anyway.

Hope to see you there and/or your friends (ship a cardboard cut out of yourself to Vegas, it's not to late!)

Happy President's Day!,

Mike & Adam

Tasha Yar Presents: "Making Good Career Decisions"

We recently attended a seminar given by Tashar Yar on “Making Good Career Decisions”. Oddly enough, “have an actual career” wasn’t high on the list. However, these 5 rules were. Enjoy:

1. If you’re not happy at your job, quit in haste! If you later regret the decision, apologize to your boss and ask for your job back. If that doesn’t work, another reasonable solution is to get a temp job by creating a rip in the space-time continuum, and dress up and pose as your daughter.

2. Sleep your way to the top: Have a one-night stand with a robot. They really know the “mechanics” of the whole thing.

3. Treat yourself once in a while! Take well-deserved vacations to exotic places like Hawaii or Vagra II.

4. Make an impression: Get a hair cut like a 1930’s paperboy. You wouldn’t want people to think you’re too attractive.

5. Avoid interoffice politics, insulting co-workers, and angry sludge monsters.
