On Saturday February 28th, Picard Maneuver will be performing at a benefit/fundraiser for our friend Brian Leggett.
Here's his story:
On September 13, 2008 Brian suffered multiple aortic aneurysms which resulted in an aortic tear- a condition that quickly leads to death. Brian, who was on vacation with his girlfriend and parents in Arizona, was airlifted to Banner Hospital in Phoenix where he underwent open heart surgery. Thankfully, Brian survived this procedure and after many months of recovery, he has returned to near 100% health! Brian's cardiac event was due to an inherited connective-tissue disorder called Marfan's Syndrome. Brian unfortunately lost his father to complications resulting from Marfans when Brian was very young. We are so happy to have Brian back in our lives and out of the hospital. He gave us quite a scare! Now unfortunately there is more work to do - pay off those hospital bills! Brian, a freelance employee trying to make his way in the film making world, was uninsured at the time of his incident. The bills are not pretty...now here's where you fit in and the fun begins!
Please join us on February 28th for a heart-exploding good time!
In honor of Brian's health, and soaring medical bills, we're hosting a fundraiser! Activities include: Live performances by Reincarnation School, The Human Condition, and The Red River, and Comedy by Picard Maneuver.
Also films by Brian and friends, Photobooth By Tommy B, Art sale, Custom T Shirts, Raffle Prizes, Silent Auction And all your favorite Adult Beverages, cheap! And Much Much More.
Even if you don't know Brian personally it looks to be a fun event everyone can enjoy for a great cause.
$10 Donation at the door.
